Black Moss

I fell in love with this pigment when I saw it. And when I added white AND Gold- it just came alive. This color combination has been one of the most popular of my abstracts.

It’s truly amazing! This piece is unique and an exploration is pigments floating over a textured background. Flowing.

I shared some of my process on Instagram- floating pigments of gold and white and blues with various solvents over an absorbent ground plaster. It was pure pleasure to watch the interaction and to slightly nudge it.

So organic and beautiful!

This beautiful abstract painting alludes to a landscape (I am clearly in my landscape period) and includes beautiful rich earthy green and olive and whites and gold. Some of the secondary colors are lighter with a hint of grey that have been created as the pigments flowed together. Crackling and texture added for depth.

This painting doesn’t not require a frame the sides are painting in the Deepest Black Moss to coordinate. She is a beauty!
